Background I'm spending a year about 20 minutes away from Nürnberg and have been gradually taking more trips around the city. |
Considering a trip to Nürnberg? I would recommend travel to Nürnberg particularly if you have an interest in medieval culture and/or Nazi Germany.
The city has a very medieval atmosphere and quite a charming, traditional look, but more recent history as well. Therefore, for history lovers it's a great stop!
However, if you have limited time in Germany and want to focus on some of the following - baroque, jugendstil, and rococo architecture; nobles and palaces, fine art collections, science and technology, the DDR - Nürnberg would probably not be the best city to visit in an attractions sense. |
