South Africa ~ What can I say? When I told my friends that I was going to South Africa in June, I got two (2) kinds of reactions - envious congratulations or utter horror.
I have always wanted to visit the African continent and I'm glad I started with South Africa. In the end, I had a fantastic and most unforgetable time and adventure in this beautiful, wildly diverse great land.
I visited South Africa from 8 June 2007 and stayed until 24 June 2007. I went to Johannesburg for work and flew to Cape Town for a 1-week holiday. |

| | Blue Skies and Wilderness What draws people to South Africa? Blue skies, game parks, wilderness areas, miles of sandy beaches and blue oceans, valleys and meadows of excellent wines and healthy livestocks, and acres + acres of fantastic diversified landscapes.
I've discovered that South Africa comprises an astonishing diversity of environments: from the dramatic arid moonscapes of the north-west to the forest-fringed coastline of the Garden Route; from the flat, dry Karoo interior to the manicured vineyards of the Winelands. |
