*The* place to go on holiday in the UK. There are some amazing clean beaches, great waves for surfing and surfing championships are often held on Fistral beach. You will often see surf schools on the beach teaching people to surf. Theres plenty to see and do in Newquay for both the young and the old and everyone in between. Great nightlife in the town, plenty of shops, a zoo and various other attractions all to hand. There are numerous Hotels, B&B's and campsites. Newquay is a very popular tourist attraction and gets very busy in the summer months. There is a harbour which offers boat trips along the coast, speed boat rides or fishing trips.

Infront of this Island is a swimming pool which is submerged at high tide. There is life guards on this beach during high season. This is the nearest beach to the town centre. The sealife centre is on the seafront. Towan Island is connected to the main land by a suspension bridge. I don't believe the public can still cross to the island nowadays but at one point they opened a tea room in the house on the island so you could go across.
