We were only in Xingang a few hours to embark on a Princess Asia cruise. A group of about 12 of us rented a van and driver in Beijing to transport us there. The trip took about 2 1/2 hours and cost $18.50USD/person, including tip. The van was very nice, in like new condition and the driver first took us to the Rennassance Hotel where he then waited for us while we processed in and then took us to the dock about 20 minutes from there.
Xingang is a very large city and the only thing notable as I recall was the enormous amount of construction going on, building cranes everywhere, just as in Beijing and Shanghai.
