About the photo: Bolte Bridge seen from water level. The bridge is part of a tollway system. The 2 shards are not connected to the bridge and are "just for show."
Funny how most of us talk about where we've been and ignore where we are. Melbourne has been home for me for nearly all of my life - all my schooling was done here, I grew up in the northern suburbs and then in 1969 married Sandra and we moved into our own home in the suburb of East Doncaster.
At first we were on the edge of suburbia and enjoyed a semi-rural landscape, but it wasnt long before the farms that had been in existance for over a hundred years were flattened and a permanent crop of 3 and 4 bedroom houses took over from the sheep, cattle and fruit trees - signs of progress.
If you're looking for information on Melbourne and particularly, what's on, can I suggest a visit to one of the best internet sites concerning this city - www.whitehat.com.au
