Many of you may have known David as a hub for other destinations such as Boquete, Bocas del Toro, Panama city. David is much more than that. It is the 3rd largest city in Panama, and is the capital of the Chiriqui province - a major agriculture and manufacturing center.

The city is quite laid back, and has basically what a city ought to have . It is a world away from the hustling and bustling of Panama city. Downtown - or central - is centered around the city square and is quite walkable. Shops, department stores, banks, restaurants and a few hotels can be found there. Much of buildings downtown are 2 to 3 stories high, taxi rides between locations are usually under two USD. Very easy to get around if you need taxi's. Knowing some basic Spanish will definitely help. In the past 5 months, we went there ( from Costa Rica ) 3 times, and enjoyed every visits. Hopefully, you all will too :)
