Nightlife Spot: Clubs, bars, go go
Most popular area of nightlife is Bangla road that is closed from traffic in the evening. You can also eat or play pool there.

These kind of bars you may want to visit once out of curiacity but then you have seen it all. I have a hint that all the bars have the same show. For somebody who dont know I can tell that in bing bong-shows women use their genitals to do all kind if wierd stuff. You also need to be aware that there is always some kind of trick and con to get you to drink more their expencive drinks while wateing for the show to start. And you really may need to wait..

In Rock City a liveband plays Metallica - and the food is excellent too (tortillas, hamburgers) Huge King Kong above the stage. Free entrance

Nightlife Spot: Tiger
The biggest nightclub is Tiger and you can get free drink with the entrance ticket so practically the entrance is free. Music is dancemusic and place is very crowded. It has two floors, a pooltable and a terrace. Like in meny bars and clubs in patong, there are cool figures and shapes on walls.

..its waterwar out there. No need to fix your hair or put any make up on. Put your belongings in a plastic bag. People also scrub some white powder on each other for good luck.

Nightlife Spot: Safari
When other bars closes down at 2am, you can always take a tuk tuk to Safari. It will be open til 4am..or not. Twice we have been there, police has come and closed the place cause alcoholselling is not allowed after 2am. Safari is very dark, stange and funny openair club with no entrance fee.

Perhaps you could make your hotel tip up as a warning tip too. This is an unusual practice, but does go on in less reputable places. |
