"Romantic Victoria!!!" Victoria by TOKYO64

We were crusing in Victoria on a beautiful summer day on our way to the ferry. We really like the ferries in British Columbia and Washington. It only takes about an hour from Vancouver Island to Vancouver. I highly recommend a trip to British Columbia any time of the year.

Hiroko in the alley!

I took Hiroko's photo in an alleyway that has lots of places to see. It isn't your typical alley. They have nice restaurants, cafes and shops. But it's the ambiance that gives Victoria her beauty.

Afternoon tea is a light meal typically eaten at 4 o'clock. It originates in Britain, though various places in the former British Empire also have such a meal. Hiroko and I didn't make any reservations so they moved us over to the Bengal room. This was really nice as our waiter was very nice and I think we got treated better than those that made reservations in the main room.

• Pros:Lovely place to spend a romantic day and evening.
• Cons:Summer days are too short!
• In a nutshell:More than just the Empress Hotel!
