Luk Keng, a old traditional village in Hong Kong

Luk Keng Village locates at the North-Eastern Hong Kong. The beautiful paradise was established by 13 Chan's brothers in the year of 1740.

In the Ching Dynasty of China (1644-1911), Luk Keng was a beach at a corner of the southern China in the Pacific Ocean.

Luk Keng is a pronunciation of the Ha Ka language. In Chinese, Luk Keng actually named Deer Neck. I trust that there might be some deer-like animals live in the area in the old decades.

Started from 1740, the Chan’s family developed the barren lands in Luk Keng. They developed the lands in the hills, dike embankments at the beach, moved the rocks and soils to the sea. Experienced over two decade hard working, the Chan’s family established the Luk Keng Village with hundreds and thousands square feet lands there.
