I visited this summer, after Katrina expecting, I'm not sure what. Everyone tried to scare me off of going. I was head strong and insisted on going, however. Glad I did! It's a glorious city. While I could tell there were some areas worse for damage, still the city was proud and the people eager to share the history.
I will return. The coffee, particularly Cafe Du Monde,was a gem. Thanks to a dear friend, i'm glad I found this little shop. I was there daily for my FIX!
