  Hi Bill, Certainly a large airport and fabulous Duty Free stores when we were there in 2005. Flying into Frankfurt againAugust, most likely will stop overnight in city before train to Berlin.

  It is a nice airport, you don't even have to leave it to have a beer and wurst for an okay price. But someday I would like to explore this city too.

  Last summer I had many hours between flights in Frankfurt, so I took the train from the airport in to the city for some sight-seeing. It was very convenient.

  I'm glad you asked me about Lufthansa! No, they did NOT give me back my money! $500 for a suitcase! What a rip-off!

  My last trip to Germany was about 6 years ago and it was very short, but I liked what I did see of the Ramstein and Frankfurt areas. Not much of my travels were spent in Europe however.

  Glad you made it all the way from beautiful states to EU. Glad we had the opportunity to get to talk with you for a bit. Great pics of Terminal A!! I wish you a nice Memorial Day in honor of the fallen.
