Toronto - Financial and Cultural Center

by BillNJ - last update: Apr 13, 2008

A Great Walking City

If you are visiting downtown Toronto, you don't need a car because Toronto is a great walking city. There is also a great public transportation system with subways and streetcars.

In some ways, Toronto is like New York City on a smaller scale. However, Toronto has its own uniquely Canadian character and energy.

Toronto is the financial center of the world for natural resource companies. In the downtown financial district, there are many large banks and other corporations. There is also a large convention center that hosts many conferences and other events.

I highly recommend a visit to Toronto. Just walk around -- there is so much to see and do in this vibrant city!

Great Toronto tips, Bill. It's an excellent city for food, isn't it! I also enjoyed a hotdog in downtown Toronto, and several tasty lunches in the impressive Chinatown district. Happy travels, Jonathan.
