Clown and Bard is situated in the popular area of Bohemian Zizkov. If you like a good time and enjoy drinking this is the place. Great staff, great price, great breakfast and buy on get one free on beer between 7pm and 8pm, what more could you ask for. You have many options for getting into the centre…..20 minute walk/5 minutes to the nearest Metro and trams. There are plenty of bars and restaurants in the immediate area so you don’t need to venture far if you are tired.

The hostel itself is clean, it is however cold and gloomy in the winter. Last visit we had trouble with our hot water and although they were quick to see to the problem they failed to fix it.

I used to live in this area and had no problems, however it is a working class area and there are lots of gypsies here. Be careful when going out late at night……..do not take a camera!

Unique Qualities: The staff have always been very welcoming and helpful.

The apartments are 5 minutes by tram from the centre-easy walking distance. All the rooms are kitted out to a high standard and have TV, music player, internet connection, iron and hair dryer.

Sir Toby’s is situated in the up and coming area of Prague- Holesovice. The hostel itself is clean and modern with a huge kitchen and bar in the cellar. There are lockers available for personal possessions by all beds. Although this hostel is not in the centre there are good tram links (about 20 minutes to the centre) and at night there are night trams back to the hostel.

If you want a quite time in Prague then this place is perfect. My only problem with this hostel was the rules. For example, there is only one person allowed on the balcony at one time, ok, on the balcony there is a sign saying ‘no talking’ Well, If I have stuck to the first rule then who am I going to talk to? You are only allowed in the garden at certain times and NO SMOKING in the bar. This is Prague! Everydoor you enter there is a new list of rules to read.

Unique Qualities: The little details...... the fresh flowers placed on the stairs.
