We decided very last mintue to go to Cancun infact the day befor we left . It was just a short 4 night stay to relax and fish.Once the haunt of a few wily anglers, Cancun has grown into a city of more than 200,000 people that draws two million visitors each year. And the ambitious project initiated by bankers seeking new ways to open the country up to tourism has proved to be an unabashed financial success. The once empty beach on a ribbon-thin coastal island is now lined with huge resort hotels, dozens of restaurants, several large shopping malls, a convention center and three 18-hole golf courses. (It will remind you of Miami Beach-with touches of Las Vegas-style architecture.)There are many things to do and see the ruins, suba ,much much more but ours was just a week end trip so we just fished.
