Meeting the local people, ethnic groups, and travellers from around the world. I still think about the wonderful local people and travellers I met when I first stepped on S.E. Asia soil in 1989, as well as in 1995, 2000 and 2006.

My mom's first taste of S.E. Asia was in 2000. We spent 6 weeks in Bali. She was 84 yrs old.

January - March 2006 - We did a 6 1/2 week trip to Thailand and Laos to celebrate my mom's 90th birthday.

January - March 2007 - We plan on going to Thailand for 2 months to celebrate my birthday.
