Hotels is Rome during peak season can get very pricey. Welcome residence was a grreat deal (about 100e). It is only a 5 minute walk from the Termini. Our room waqs not available but they gave us a suite for the first night. The suite is very big! however, having to pack up again was a bit of a hassle.
When we first arrived, we tried taking a quick nap but were unable..all we could hear were bottles dropping into a bin...this happened every 5-10mins and was very loud. We first thought that a window was open because the sound was so clear...but they were closed...at night, people would fight outside, and we heard every word...no soundproofing here!
the people at the desk were very helpful though...and the breakfast was OK..nothing to extravagant.
Unique Qualities: cheap and great location.
there's a great internet cafe about 2-3 doors down. There are also telephones with great rates..no need to buy a phonecard, the rates here were much better. The internet cost about 3e for 30minutes
