Brunei is a small kingdom on the island of Borneo. It is an interesting place, as there are less than 500,000 people living here, and it is one of the richest countries in the world. They make their money from OIL. Even though it is really rich and well developed, there are no pubs or fun places to hang out, as they do not sell any alcohol in the whole country. This means that you have to find other things to do, unless you hop on a plane and go to Malaysia. The climate is tropical, as it is completely surrounded by East Malaysia. There is an interesting mix of Malay and Chinese. The people of Brunei do not pay any income tax, as the oil seems to pay for itself, but overall it can be a reall boring place, as there are no pubs. |
