"Sherborne (No 'u') Dorset." Sherbourne by TheLongTone

I've little to say about Sherborne as yet. Never been there, really. Been driven through it several times. But I have managed to duck out of accompanying my stepsister to Sainsbury's long enough to have a quick eyeball inside the abbey. Which comfortably outclassed the yoghourts aisle as an aethetic experience.

I am shocked to discover that this appears to be only the second page about Sherborne (there is also what looks like a good page attributed to another Sherbourne)* not only is the abbey a remarkable and spectacularly beautiful building, but the town itself appears 'unspoilt' and there are several other buildings of note. Not many towns, for instance, boast not one but two castles.

I was pleasantly surprised to finally find Sherborne on VT. I had searched repeatedly and never found it. Now I believe this is because VT does not have it properly listed under Dorset and has spelt incorrectly by adding a "u" as in Sherbourne. Cheers!
