We entered the Republic by...
We entered the Republic by train via Furth im Wald and left via Kralupy na Vltavou and Usti Nad Labem. The latter (Which takes you on to Dresden and Leipzig) is a gorgeous ride along a river valley lined with cliffs and castles and cute villages.
We travelled only by train. The trains tended to be rather crowded but were prompt and comfortable. Make reservations for long journeys.
