A Rolling Stone Gathers No Moss

Guiuan, Eastern Samar from ISS

Travel is Education

You go out of your small cubicle of a house and the outside world seems to smother you. When you move around and maybe even make trips around the world, the perception of things change. Now the big becomes small. The globe now seems like a blue marble and everyone and everything on it are but fragile entities under the mercies of the physical Laws of Nature.

Now let's expand our imagination and try to encompass the whole of the universe. Is there life out there? Present scientific investigations have not come up with any positive results. And I doubt that there will be any concrete evidence that there is life out there.

With that in mind, let's be contented with our small delicate earth and appreciate the beauty that it offers us. In other words, let's travel.

Guiuan Airfield - Seabees' Handiwork

Have you seen the movie "The Fighting Seabees" (1944) with John Wayne?
The Seabees (CB) were the American Naval Construction Battalion engineers who built the Guiuan Naval Airfield in Eastern Samar, Philippines during WWII. John Wayne? He was not with this battalion ;^))
