Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Typical weather ranges from about 0 degrees Celsius in the depths of winter (although there is usually very little snow) to typically pleasant sunny days of +20 to 25C in the summer. However, the weather can be very unpredictable and change within a matter of hours even if it looks good to start with.

Make sure you a warm coat, gloves, scarf and a hat in winter and a jumper or a cardigan in summer. Any time of the year you should also bring an umbrella (unless it is freezing) and sensible shoes that can take the long walks on the cobbled streets.

Spring and autumn are pleasant, but can be very wet (more than 100mm of rain per month). Be prepared and bring a pair of waterproof shoes and a coat. It can also be windy, so your umbrella won't be much help!
