Jeddah - A love/hate relationship

by daaebissa - last update: Oct 5, 2006

I worked in Jeddah for one year. It was quite beautiful. I wish I would have seen more of it, gone on more tours, etc. It rained a total of two times the whole year I was there. Two times!!! I live in Vancouver, so this was a miraculous concept to me. I enjoyed the Saudi people and never had any problem with them at all. I only wish I could have done more, seen more......I remember Al Balad with fondness (even though after about an hour there I felt like a truck ran over me) and the cheap shwarmas and fresh juice, and I LOVED Hera International Market (mall).
Jeddah is a beautiful city, and I will hold this experience close to my heart forever.
