When I sent a picture of the sea-lions to my mom back home she was chocked and disgusted. Later on, she made the comment "Why on earth did you send me pictures of hundreds of dead seals?" Why oh why...well they aren't dead, they're making quite a lot of huzzle actually. And they aren't seals either. They smell like a bunch of dead fish though. So I guess there was something slightly right there. They're amazingly cute though! Fascinating creatures indeed. And protected!

An island filled with birds. I didn't know about the birds when I decided to go there, but it was really cool to see them all. Alcatraz was definately worth the hazzle to get out there (long lines and it costs quit a lot) The tours are great. There is an audio-tour that'll take you to all the most interesting parts of the prison, except the morgue (which personally is interesting!) but you can find that one on the outside and down the hill to the left, from the prison itself. You want to dress well though, because even if it's a hot day, it's very windy on the island.
