Myer Center, Queen Street Mall: Queen Street Mall has it all!

  • Name of Shop: Queen Street Mall

Queen Street Mall is a major shopping area located in the heart of downtown Brisbane. The street through the mall is not really a street anymore and is an open air promenade for pedestrians. There are all sorts of stores located there, such as high end shops like Louis Vuitton, and plenty of souvenir shops like Australia the Gift. There are also different places to eat, news stands, and also a visitor's centre where you can get travel brochures. Even if you don't want to or can't spend too much money, you can certainly walk around for a few hours and just hang out and just people watch, since there are always plenty of people around!

What To Buy: What to buy? Brisbane souvenirs of course! I would actually recommend doing some of your Australia souvenir shopping in Brisbane as I found that the prices there were a little bit cheaper than in either Cairns or Sydney for some items (I specifically remember a tote bag that I saw in Brisbane that I wanted, and I regretted not getting it since the prices were higher elsewhere).

Myer Center, Queen Street Mall: Need groceries? Go to Coles
  • Tip Rating: [Not enough ratings yet]
  • Name of Shop: Coles Central (Supermarket)

If you need groceries or other sundries, Cole's Central is a supermarket conveniently located inside Myer Centre. There also have another store a few blocks away inside QueensPlaza (also part of the overall Queen Street Mall complex).

Coles is actually a supermarket chain that is found all over Australia.
