Brookside Parkway (Big Creek Parkway)

It was a wonderful place to grow up. I'm sure it still is. Suburbia, access to Cleveland, good schools, nice people. Lot's of trees and the parkway. We spent hours each day, exploring our little park of the woods. It's not very wide, and the creek isn't outstanding. Yet, we found places hidden away from prying eyes, we had sled hills, snake grass fortresses, and hours of fun outside. There was the coffin at 'dead man's' hill and the place that I fell through the ice and got home with my clothes frozen stiff about me. There was the tar heel incident, the homemade go-kart kid, the old farm buildings and the inevitable invasion of foreign troops. We learned alot in those years and had a great time.
