The Best Location in the Nation

Times they are a changing

Lakefront Stadium (Browns Field)
I grew up in Cleveland and always liked the Electric Illuminating Companies Slogan, ' Best Location in the Nation'. I know, young, impressionable. I even supported the President, whom ever that was at the time. Since then, Cleveland became known as the 'Mistake on the Lake'. Well I've lived in many parts of the country since leaving at eighteen. I still believe that Cleveland is the Best Location in the Nation. It would be a 'mistake' not to visit this location on the lakes.

Downtown is a vibrant place during the week and on the weekends, the scene shift but a few blocks to the flats and the terminal shopping mall. The lakefront is home to the Cleveland Browns , the Science Museum, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, a retired William G. Mather ore boat and the annual air show.

Lakefront - Education in large proportions

The lakefront around the 9th Street pier is the place to take the kids to see history upfront and alive. The Science Center is here, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame , and then a real submarine and an ore boat . Many offer hands on activities and the sub and ore boat give the kids a chance to streatch their muscles, climbing ladders and walking the decks. On the sub, their small size will let the kids see more and get around easier.

A City that has learned to stand tall.

Known locally as the 'forest city' , Cleveland has literally sprung from the good soil has always been its underpinning. The city went through some rough times and many still remember those times of trouble, debt, burning river and general economic down turns as if they were yesterday. only the city has come a long way since then. New towers rise over the river valley and the valley itself has developed into a mecca of entertainment and good food. Today, the area between downtown and the flats continues to change from decayed office buildings to upscale condos and the place to have your office.

If you haven't seen Cleveland in the last 10-15 years, you'll be impressed.
