| | The University Purdue University is the premier Engineering and Agricultural School in Indiana. It is part of the State School system and is the earliest state school. Founded across the River in 1869 when John Purdue donated the land to the state of Indiana with two stipulations. 1st, the school had to be named after him. 2nd, he was to be buried on school grounds. Both have been met. You can ask any student where he is buried and most will know. Those that don't, will remember that they were told where, but have forgotten. |
