|  | Entrance to the Dunes Michigan City serves as the eastern entrance to the dunes. Mt. Baldy actually exist within the city boundaries. Before it became the eastern end of the dunes park, the beach at Mt. Baldy was considered the West Beach of Michigan City. Today, the city is served by Washington Park as a swimming and picnic area, but Mt. Baldy remains the place to see the dunes up close.
