Czorsztyn lake

Where: Pieniny is situated in Malopolska administrative region. The most important towns (they are small) of this area are Kroscienko, Niedzica, Szczawnica, Czorsztyn. The main river of this region is Dunajec. Between Niedzica and Maniowy in 1997 was created anti-flood Czorsztyn lake. Now it's excellent place for relax and sports.

The distance from Niedzica to Krakow is about 120 km and to Warsaw about 400 km.

Why: Because of nature, magnificent landscapes, active relaxation (climbing, walking, bikes, kayaking, rafting, sailing, horses, bird-watching, etc.), history (castles, wooden churches, old farms) and proximity of Slovakia attractions.

Beautiful opening shot of Niedzica Castle and also looking down on those grazing sheep! Thanks for the excellent tips - it sounds and looks like a very interesting area in which to spend some time exploring!

It looks like a pleasant weekend excursion, just perfect place to escape from the heat in the big city! :) Exploring the castle life, practicing the variety of sport activities in the natural environment... you must have returned renewed :))
