[CHARCO VIEJO - Orzola: Don't Miss The Fresh Seafood!]

Orzola located on the north island's end is one of the most marine towns in Lanzarote. So it can't be strange that I recommend to taste there fresh seafood.

I decided for restaurant Charco Viejo situated in the centre of Orzola, near the lovely harbour. For sure You will be satisfied eating Gambas al ajillo - medium sized but very juicy and soft prawns with garlic floating in yummy bullion. THe garlic is not smashed but put in parts, so this dish can be also good for not "total garlic taste lovers" (I'm the member of this club:).

Papas Arrugadas (potatoes cooked in the sea salt) with mojo verde and rojo sauces were also worth of consideration.

But I award the first prize to grilled octopus (pulpo a la plancha). This sea-creature is perfectly prepared: crispy, soft and well-spiced.

Tasting tHat sort food with the sea and port view is the best relaxing way :)

[BODEGUITA DEL MEDIO - Teguise: Lanzarote Cuisine leisurely]

Small room, a bit in rural style designed (old barrels instead of tables), very very nice owners, rich choice of meals (including local tapas) - this is Bodegiuta del Medio. Apart of eating and drinking cold wine during hot day you can buy here Lanzarote products: liquers, wines, sauces, sweeties etc. And resting in Bodeguita you can breath the amazing atmosphere of Teguise slow rhythm of life.

Highly recommended.
