Do not expect any tips on Kuta or Legian from us. Having known these in the 70ies as quiet villages of rice farmers, we now avoid them if we can. Yes, there was a time when Theo walked to the beach from his host's home on the main dirt road through rice fields.
Reviewing our tips, we see that most of them are about places with maximum distance to Kuta: Pemuteran, Singaraja, Amlapura.
But for Ubud we thought it appropriate to write a separate page.
