Getting TO/AROUND: Rome has a really great Tram/Bus system. Takes you to all the right places and on time. Subway is good too, but not as great as some other European countries. FYI, if you don't have a validated ticket on whatever mode of transportation, you WILL BE FINED 50 EURO!! BUT, you can take a chance and wing it. We bought a ticket for 3 days, validated it the first time we used it, and then forgot about it each time. Not the smartest thing to do, but its up to you and we didn't really care truth be told. Validation is easy, with these yellow boxes inside the vehicle that you put your ticket into. Bus 64 is good at taking you all over especially to Termini. Also, all stops have easy to follow stop finders. You will be fine, first time will be weird but after that..easy as pie.

'Mode': TO,AROUND

Getting TO/AROUND: Taxis are easy to find. Make sure they are legit and prior to getting into said taxi talk about what the price should be. Some taxi drivers are still not following the new rule. To and From the airports into ROme costs only 40 Euro. It is a new law and must be abided. An information desk gave us a brochere that he told us to show the taxi driver were to swindle us for money which thankfully never happened. So just be sure you know that. Also, at the airport there is a really great car service we used that picked us up at 330 in the morning and was great. It was 35 Euro during the day.
