After the colour & excitment of the south, we found Hanoi to be a little dreary.
We only spent one day here sight-seeing. We found the locals to be very cold and unhelpful.
I guess I had a picture in my head of what the old quarter etc would be like and in reality it didn't quite live up to my expectations. |

I was to Hanoi this year, didn't like it either :( there was too much overpricing and was glad to leave it after one night; probably won't go back there | lindyz Fri Jun 12, 2009 05:40 UTC
We didnt really like Hanoi either, but we were only realy here for a few days and only as a stop-off point for Halong Bay so we didnt get to see much of the city. |
