    • The castle was built from 1711 to 1718 in the Baroque style as a summer residence for Lothar Franz von Schönborn (1655-1729).

    The tour starts at the main door where I am standing. The tour takes two hours and I would have like to have seen the inside rooms of the castle. However, my cousin and I were scheduled to meet someone in Bamberg and needed to get a move on. You can see more pictures of the castle on the referenced web ages.
