Ebrach was an important center in the middle ages. It was the home of one of the Bishops of Bavaria and a beautiful church and Bishop's residency was first started in 1127 with additions enlarging the church in 1200 and 1285 to its present day size. The kloster (nunnery) was established in 1554 as indicated on this placard on one of the church buildings. |
