Living

Picture of me on T. Jefferson's birthday 2008
2008.01.01: I am still in Baltimore and enjoying my new job. I still go to Washington, DC every other weekend volunteering time at the Smithsonian Natural History Museum. I work in the new Ocean Hall which opened up on 27 September 2008. It is fun work and I get to share information about the ocean to people form around the world. If you see me there, let me know you saw me on VT and I will give you a personal tour of the Sant Ocean Hall!

In less than three weeks a new movement will sweep through my country. Thank GOD President elect Obama will be governing the USA. We hope President Obama will do great things for this country and for people around the globe. We hope the new government will get the USA away from petroleum and using renewable fuels in the near future. If the big three car makers in the USA don;t understand the American people no longer want automobiles that run on petroleum products, then good riddance to you!

2008.11.27: After 13 months in Alexandria, I changed jobs and moved to Baltimore, Maryland to start a new job and hopefully enduring employment. My experience at the US Patent and Tradmark Office was unsatisfying and stressful. Lucky for me, a hiring firm found my resume online and now I work in aerospace where my heart has been all along since my first job out of university. My friends at the USPTO say they are happy to see my smile again and hear my laugh and so far I am satified with my new circumstances!

2007.09.12: I ended up in Alexandria, Virginia. I live and work in the same town of Alexandria that was founded in 1695. I won't be traveling internationally until next year in 2009, however get ready to know Washington, DC and Virginia intimately.

The high petrol prices and inflation has put a damper on my travel this year. I still get into DC on the weekends and walk 6-8 miles every Sat and Sun mornings, and stopping off at one of the museum before heading back home.

Starting the end of September I will be a docent at the Natural History Museum in Washington, DC. If any VTers are in town visiting the museum, watch out for me (work on Saturdays).

I am first generation American in my family and first born of the children. I was fortunate growing up. At 10 months old, an old man experienced a young, noisy boy who ran up and down the deck of a passenger ship. The old man packed up his belongings every time and went back to his room when I appeared on stage! Thus began a life long adventure of travel.

Places I lived:
Texas
Hawaii
Colorado
Illinois
Massachusetts
England
Finland
Switzerland
Puerto Rico
Virginia
