I knew Sion thanks to a meeting that Tripack organized here on June 2010
Swiss meet in the heart of the Alps

His choice was excellent and allowed me to discover a pleasant town.

Picture n°1 – The best panoramic view of the Old Town is the one you can enjoy from both of its 2 castles.
Yes, Sion was so important in the past that it has 2 strongholds both located on the top of 2 hills close the city centre.

Nico, fabulous page about Sion and the surrounding region here. A couple of years ago we enjoyed to walk along the Bisse de Claveau, but found the underground lake in St. Leonard a tourist trap.
