Most people think of this place as one city, but in fact it was originally two (BUDA and PEST), on either side of one of the most romantic rivers in Europe.
The name it is called today is simply the two old city names put together.
You can sit high up in the square opposite the wonderful castle, from where you can get the best view of the city.
You can feel quite full, having just finished an enormous plate of gulyas, the well-known local dish, made of beef and hot red peppers, and a big slice of cake. It's delicious, and very cheap as well. |
