Allianoi is an ancient spa settlement situated near Bergama (ancient Pergamon) in Izmir. The site is located at 18 kilometers from Bergama in the north-east direction, on the road to the town of Ivrindi. The hot springs at Allianoi have a temperature of 45-50°C. Also, another worthy place will be destroyed building a dam soon.

My hometown "Selcuk" is a touristy place in the west of Turkey, near the harbour city Izmir. You can see more info on my Selcuk pages about this historical, nice town. Now I live in Izmir, I go to Selcuk on some weekends. I don't have so much infos about Izmir or Selcuk but I'm trying to add more whenever I have time :)
Let me tell you a little about myself: As a result of living in such a historical town, I studied Ancient Greek and Latin Languages and Litteratures at University. It took me many years to graduate but I made it finally (just a few years ago)!! I dreamed of failing exams, not graduating and woke up crying many times during one year after I graduate! (Ok I should call them nightmares instead of dreams:) ) Anyway, I got used to it finally :-) Now I can sleep without thinking of my teachers at University....But I still miss Ankara where I studied and spent many years. I sometimes whish I didn't move back to Izmir. Anyway, it's too late to think about it :-) Maybe later I can move back. Who knows??
