This park is also small and filled with campsites, much like Pinery. It has 3 hiking trails that are all very easy, but entertaining. Originally, this area was logged in the late 19th century. The park has been there since the 1960s and is the most popular park in Ontario due to its proximity to Toronto, family friendliness and having the similar vistas of Geogian Bay as Killarney. The campsites here are more private than those at Pinery and some of the Algonquin campgrounds, but they have a special reservation policy for this park, due to it's popularity. They will also be opening a new visitors centre soon, which I am sure just make the park more popular. |
