"Egypt traveling" a Egypt Travel Page by misr

My first visit to Egypt was in october 1989. The trip was only one week and I visit Cairo and Alexandria, with my brother. There is so much to see in Egypt, specially if you are interested on their history, that one week is not enough even to scratch the surface. We did have the time to visit the Giza pyramids, Saqqara, Memphis, Serapeum, Egyptian museum, Khan el khalil and we were lucky to have a friend living in Egypt that showed us the old Cairo and the citadel.
This trip was a dream come true for both me and my brother. And both of us was left with a desire to come back.

The second visit to Egypt was in march 2005. So it was a realy long time between the last trip and this one.
Now we went to Luxor, Esna, Edfu, Kom Ombo, Aswan, Abu Simbel, Cairo, Alexandria, El Alamein and Hurghada. The trip was unforgettable, yet still to short to see everything we wanted to see. The first week was on a Nile cruise from Luxor to Aswan. Then a night train from Aswan to Giza. The second week was in different hotels and a lot of sitting in a bus. Second week was in Cairo - Alexandria -Hurghada. But we did see a lot and wanted to come back as soon as possible to see more.

So the third trip came a bit faster than 15 years, it was in march 2006. And had time only for a one week trip. I took my daughters with me and they totaly fell for Egypt, just like their mom had done a long time ago.
We went on a Nile cruise, so that there is a lot of places in one week to visit.
I did find something new from every place, even I had seem them a year before.
But that´s, what is so fine in Egypt, you can always find something new from places you´ve seen.
And there is somekind of magic in this country, once you tasted the water of the Nile ....
I wait for my next trip, which is going to be in march 2007.
