From Aswan you can go and visit the great temple of Abu Simbel or the temple of Philae. There is also the unfinished obelisk and the High Dam. And the Aswan botanic garden (Kitchnerīs island).
There is a lot more, just havenīt visit them yet. But itīs on my list of things to do, next time in Aswan.
First time at Aswan in march 2005, we didnīt see much of the High Dam or temple of Philae, because of a sandstorm. But in march 2006, the weather was clear and we did see how huge the dam is and the beauty of the temple of Philae.
At night, the lights on the promenade of Assuan ... I could look at it for hours! |
