Since Matsue is located between Lake Shinji and the Sea of Japan, Matsue is also known as "the water city". I think one day trip is enough to visit Matsue; there are not so many places to be visited.
I like mountain or sea, some kind of nature view. Regretly, I cannot find it in Matsue. Shinjiko (lake) is just lake, maybe you have to wait till sunset or sunrise to get good picture of the lake.
But lucky that I found Matsue Vogel Park, heaven of bird and flower ^-^ |
| | Matsue Castle Matsue Castle is one of a dozen original castles in Japan, that means this castle tower has survived over the wars, fires, earthquakes and anti-feudal activities of the post-feudal era (since 1868). |
