"Victoria, British Columbia" Victoria by kevanrijn

We are leaving the Pacific northwest in four weeks and returning to West Virginia to live. I'm so sorry I waited this long to visit Victoria. I've been to Vancouver, BC and a little bit of south BC on the mainland and that was lovely--but Victoria blows them out of the water!

Even though we have only 3 weekends left before our move, we are planning to use one of them to visit Victoria again. I want to take tea at the Empress Hotel, take the guided tour of the Empress hotel, visit Butchart Gardens again, and take a harbor tour on one of those cute, crazy little boats that remind me of a bathtub toy as they dart around the harbor.

where I plan to have tea. We also want to take the guided tour of the hotel. We saw the tour go by while we were there--the guide was wearing an amazing Art Nouveau era costume while she led the tour.

children's bathtub toys! They dart around so fast and look so silly! I want to take a harbor cruise on one, but it was one of the things we didn't have time to do last trip.

• Pros:Everything! Friendly natives, beautiful scenery, clean, affordable, tons of things to do!
• Cons:Can't think of a single con! I only wish it were closer and easier to get to!
• In a nutshell:Can't wait to go back--wish I'd gone sooner....
