Roy Street and Broadway, Capitol Hill

Vivace is for coffee. Other wonderful restaurants and a marvelous two-story Quality Food Service (QFS), looking nothing like the King Soopers in Denver. Spread over two stories with shops surrounding it, my niece and I found our sparkling wine for a dollar a bottle more than here at home in Colorado. They have a great produce, fresh food, prepared foods, and liquor areas. This store was a revelation.

A well-renowned chocolate cafe, Dilettante Mocha Cafe & Chocolate Martini Bar, was down the block. Although the piece of leftover cake I had the next day was to die for, that night it was too cold. My friend and I termed it "dense." But take it for a plane ride to Denver and it was all that.

Pros and Cons
  • Pros:transportation, free conservatory, gardening/landscaping/flowers everywhere
  • In a nutshell:Psyche yourself up for rain and 50 degrees, and you will have a great time.
