Hey everyone! Thanks for stopping by and having a look at my pages. I didn't do much traveling when I was younger. I traveled around in my province of Alberta and the neighboring province of British Columbia with my parents when I was younger and with my now-husband as I got older. I didn't fly until I was 22. Then last year, at 23, I went to Europe for the first time. Something came over me! Now that I've gone to both Hawaii and Europe for a second time, the bug has gotten even worse. I find myself thinking about places I could go and things I could see all the time, and wondering if I have enough space on the calendar to do it. It seems as though I'm always thinking about where I've been and returning to those places I love. I want to see this wide world, but going to Europe also made me really appreciate where I'm from, so I'm trying to take weekend trips whenever I can, weather permitting! VT has certainly made a big impression on me. People have written so many wonderful pages that inspire me to travel, and I hope my pages can inspire a few people, too! Who knows where the future will take us all. Maybe one day our paths will cross, whether on VT or in person!

I appreciate you taking the time to look at my pages, but I have to warn you about something. I don't think that I'm very good at writing intro's to pages. Sometimes I think photos speak more than I could say, and I don't know how to adequately sum up a place. Most of my pages will have tips and photos but no intro. Trust me, this is not because I am lazy at all. It is because I am still trying to think of the perfect words, so I'd rather have no intro than one that I think isn't very good. Thank you!

I love collecting postcards :) I've been collecting them for as long as I can recall. It would be awesome to receive a postcard from every country (preferably mailed from that country), but that is not my goal. I really just love getting things in the mail and maybe making new friends along the way. It's a nice way to see glimpses of the world, some popular, some out of the way, that I might not ever get a chance to see. If you would like one from me, I would be happy to send one.

I used to be terrified of flying and would never go anywhere for fear of dying in a plane crash. To be honest with you, I'm still terrified. I always wanted to see the world, but I was too scared. Discovering VT, meeting everyone and looking at all of these gorgeous pages has made me open up my eyes a little bit wider. We have a terrific, beautiful, diverse world here, and to miss it and to stay in my little corner forever would be a crime. I still haven't flown, but I have trips planned, and I have to fly! I feel like I would be incomplete if I didn't see the rest of this world. I feel connected to everyone out there, and travelling will make me a more complete person. I may not be able to travel as frequently as some because of financial restrictions, but I will as much as I can!
