I will finally be visiting ICELAND in June 2013!

Later on in the summer I will be returning to Europe, visiting Italy, San Marino, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and Malta!

I am so thrilled about both of these trips!

Hey everyone! Thanks for stopping by and having a look at my pages. I didn't do much traveling as a kid. I traveled around in my province of Alberta and the neighboring province of British Columbia with my parents when I was younger and with my husband as I got older. I didn't fset foot on an airplane until I was 22. When I was 23, I went to Europe for the first time. Something came over me, and now I can't stop. Wanderlust has taken over my life. I find myself thinking about places I could go and things I could see all the time, and wondering if I have enough space on the calendar to do it. It seems as though I'm always thinking about where I've been and returning to those places I love, but more importantly, seeing all of the places I haven't seen yet!

Since 2008 I've visited Europe three times, Cuba twice, China, the Caribbean, and made many trips to the USA. On my 25th birthday, I set a goal for myself to visit (at least) 30 countries by the time I turn 30 in May 2015. I think I'm doing a pretty good job, as I've been to 17 countries so far!

VT has certainly made a big impression on me. People have written so many wonderful pages that inspire me to travel, and I hope my pages can inspire a few people, too! Who knows where the future will take us all. Maybe one day our paths will cross, whether on VT or in person!

POSTCARDS!

I love collecting postcards :) I've been collecting them for as long as I can recall. It would be awesome to receive a postcard from every country (preferably mailed from that country), but that is not my goal. I really just love getting things in the mail and maybe making new friends along the way. It's a nice way to see glimpses of the world, some popular, some out of the way, that I might not ever get a chance to see. If you would like one from me, I would be happy to send one.

I used to be terrified of flying and would never go anywhere for fear of dying in a plane crash. To be honest with you, I'm still terrified. I always wanted to see the world, but I was too scared. Discovering VT, meeting everyone and looking at all of these gorgeous pages has made me open up my eyes a little bit wider. We have a terrific, beautiful, diverse world here, and to miss it and to stay in my little corner forever would be a crime. I still haven't flown, but I have trips planned, and I have to fly! I feel like I would be incomplete if I didn't see the rest of this world. I feel connected to everyone out there, and travelling will make me a more complete person. I may not be able to travel as frequently as some because of financial restrictions, but I will as much as I can!
