Home of the Huskers Lincoln, Nebraska, aside from being the state capitol is perhaps best known for being home to the University of Nebraska Cornhuskers traditionally a college football powerhouse, although their other sports programs are not slouches.
Lincoln is Nebraska's second biggest city, located approximately one hour west of Omaha. |
Great place to golf OK, so it doesn't have all those PGA courses you see on TV, but Lincoln does have a large number of courses both public and private. There are several city courses, where the greens fees are very reasonable, and the courses much better than some other city courses. The Wilderness Ridge course, on the south side is absolutely beautiful and must be played if you spend any time playing golf in Lincoln. |
