Bangladesh is my own country..I feel proud about my country..God gifted us with hills, sea, forest, vast plain land,rivers..bangladesh is also known for its great culture and most easy going people with very simple mind and life style..Geographically its a small country but it is not small by geographicall variation..nature has fulfilled Bangladesh with green.. its becoming a popular destination for the tourist day by day..those tourist who loves nature, want to be close with nature should come to Bangladesh. World's longest unbroken sea beach(Coxsbazar), world's largest mangrove forest(Sundarban), The Tea garden, The Hills, The lakes, the vast plain land, The colourful trival people all of these are some of the example of attractions in Bangladesh..come and visit Bangladesh..The country is waiting to welcome you..
Saint Martins island. The only coral island on the Bay of Bengal as well in Bangladesh. A heaven,a peaceful land. It is located 515km away from Dhaka. A small but very geographically rich island. Its local name is NARIKEL JINJIRA. The area of the island is only 9square km. Apporximately 7 thousands people are living there. 90% of the population are directly involved with fishing. around 10 thousands coconut tress and uncountable screw pines make this island a green piece of land and saving this island from the natural disaster..the white sandy unspoiled beaches, the great marine life, the beautiful people, the crystal clear water, variety of sea food are the main asset for the tourist who come here..
The island can be divided into 2 parts, the st.Martin and the Cheradia island..Cheradia is the last part of this island as well as the last piece of land for Bangladesh..Cheradia is fully out of population..you can pass a night or day without hearing any voice of human and you can easily discover you in perfect nature. The view of the hills of Mayanmar added an extra beauty to the Cheradia island..
Why CHERADIA is called an island? Its an interesting thing.Cheradia can be reached from saint martin by foot in the low tide period and it will take 2 hours if you can walk constantly.. But during the high tide the island get detached from the main land and thats why it is called Cheradia(detached) island..The island is full of coral and boulders..every thing can be seen under the transparent water. You can see both the sun set and sun rising from a same point in Cheradia.. spending a night in the cheradia island specially the moonlight night can be a great experience for your life time..If you are a lucky one you can easily find a Green turle is giving eggs just beside of you..
The number of tourist visiting the island is increasing every year..Its is the main tourist destination in bangladesh this days..around 3 lacs tourist are coming every year..The main season to go Saint Martins is the winter season of Bangladesh..but in my opinion the best month to go is November..because everything is realy freash at that time..
Saint Martins Island is my favourite place. I went There every year. 1st time I visited there in 2002 and after that I fall in love with st.martin.. in this upcoming November2006 I am going to go there for my seventh time..I love st.martin very much.. My request to everyone who are willing to go St.martin please do not leave any plastics, bottle or anything which is harmful to nature.. Dont buy any coral or shells or any kind of rock because nature is very much suitable in his own place.... please...
