Magical holiday The four weeks I spent holidaying in Scotland in 1994, were magnificent. I spent time in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Ayre (where we celebrated the Springboks' rugby victory over Scotland at Murrayfield). I drove from Inverness to Kyle of Lochalsh and the beautiful Isle of Skye, then down the west coast to Oban. Then on to the east coast - Aberdeen, Stonehaven and Dufftown. I tried haggis (not recommended unless you are partial to internal organs), and sampled single malt whisky at several distilleries (highly recommended). |

West Coast - The Skies of Skye The Ilse of Skye is an enchanting place, with beautiful seascapes and changing skies. Well worth a visit, if the weather plays along. |
| Dunnottar Castle, Stonehaven |
East Coast - Aberdeen, Stonehaven To quote one of Scotland's most famous sons: "This life, sae far's I understand, Is a' enchanted fairy-land" - Robert Burns This certainly applies to Scotland. |
