Bratislava is small and is often overlooked in the region by cities like Vienna and Budapest, but you will be rewarded by a short visit to this city. Bratislava has a small historical part of town that is fun to explore and offers a lot of interesting restaurants and bars. It was pretty cold when I was there, even snowing, but I imagine that in the height of summer the city comes alive. The city's musical heritage should not be overlooked. Make sure you check out the house in the historical downtown that hosted Mozart.
